Location | Instrument | Eyepiece | Filter | Notes |
| Dolidze 27 | 16:36.5 | -08 56 | Open Cluster | 6.3 | 25' | | June 16 2020 |
Farmborough Heights | 250mm f5.6 Dobsonian | 32mmSWA | | Is this really a cluster? Information on the ARGO NAVIS computer says doubtful.
Ten stars widely separtted in a very sparse field. |
| IC4603 | 16:25.6 | -24 28 | Reflection Nebula | | 20'x10' | | July 20 2020 | Culburra | 400mm f4.5 Dobsonian |
13.8mmSWA | OIII/UHC | 2 bright stars, one approximatley 2-3 times brighter than the other, in the middle of the field and very little else visible
star-wise. Filters reveal nebulosity around the brighter star. |
| IC4604 | 16:25.6 | -23 26 | Reflection Nebula | | 60'x25' | | July 20 2020 | Culburra | 400mm f4.5 Dobsonian |
9mmNaglerTI | OIII/UHC | 3 bright stars form an equilateral triangle. The binary and easternmost of these 3 is a binary of approvimately 2X magnitude
difference. A pronounced round nebulosity around all 3 stars but particulary the binary. Filters enhance the nebulosity slightly. The OIII filter causes the binary to
appear green, while the UHC causes the 'red-dot effect' on the same star. |
| IC4605 | 16:30.2 | -25 06 | Reflection Nebula | | 30'x30' | | July 20 2020 | Culburra | 400mm f4.5 Dobsonian |
9mmNaglerTI | OIII | A star sitting at the right 90 degree corner of a right-angled traingle becomes nubulous with the filter. It is the easternmost
star. Other 2 stars W and S. The S star about twice as far as the W from the nebula star. |
